Exclusive Leads Are A Myth

I guess that’s probably not what you expected to hear from a lead supplier and most of the time you would be right. I’m not going to win any friends in the leads industry by spilling the beans, but my loyalty is to you, my clients. So here goes:

Nearly every lead supplier offers exclusive leads and even we did up until a few years ago.

You see it finally dawned on me that exclusivity in leads is a myth.

Like everyone else we offered exclusive leads and plenty of people ordered them. But quite often we would get calls or emails from those buyers claiming we were selling the leads more than once. We weren’t so it really rankled me because its impossible to prove a negative. Just try proving you DIDN”T do something…its kinda hard.

My clients were calling the exclusive leads and being told things like “stop calling me, you’re the 4 th person today” Now obviously this was very upsetting to our clients as well as the leads so I needed to get to the bottom of it.

I was determined to find out what was happening so I called a few of the leads myself. After introducing myself I asked them a few questions about which form they filled out on the internet.

BINGO! I had found the answer.

The leads did not fill out only ONE lead generation form, they filled out multiple forms from different lead generation companies. This of course made them leads with various leads suppliers! So they are getting calls from all around the place.

No wonder there was people getting upset, they had paid out a big chunk of cash for exclusive leads and they were expecting an exclusive lead but getting a shared lead.Really its no fault of the lead suppliers, there is no way to control how many forms a lead fills out.  Just think of the last time you did a search on Google, did you only look at one page or a few?

Anyway, as soon as this situation became clear to us, we instantly stopped offering exclusive leads on the site because there is no such thing.

No matter what the other lead suppliers promise you, they cannot and will not guarantee you are the only person going to contact that lead, so why invest double the money when there is no point?

Mind you if you particularly want exclusive leads, go ahead and order any of the leads on our site and let us know, we will give you exclusive (bearing in mind what I already said) and supply you half the number you ordered because exclusive leads are simply double the cost of shared leads.

Really buying exclusive leads seems to me to be an expensive way to buy a shared lead

I really don’t like to write negative type messages and tried hard to put some positive spin on this for you… I felt obligated to bring this industry secret out in the open to save you frustration and money, I hope you don’t mindards
